VFC Scar What to Upgrade?

Hello I am currently thinking of buying a VFC Scar Mk17-Heavy or maybe Light in black. Now could your brains inform me of what I should upgrade to receive a better performance. I was aiming for a high performance Scar because Scars are just so sexy. I don't want to spend to much.

The Ultimate upgrade for accurate precision shots and to highly increase your ability to hit the other players is PRACTICE. Learn to use your gun effectively first then think about what YOUR gun is lacking for YOUR play style. Though mags, a good sling and maybe a sight (red dot or scoped) would all be good things to spend your upgrade money on first though.

I wouldnt recommend upgrading a gun until it breaks...

I've never had any problem with a stock gun, until I added custom/upgraded parts in it, and I ran into tons of problems.... (I did manage to fix them, but still it was a huge waste of time....)

Sure if you're an enthusiast with time to spend tuning it (and knowing what you're doing) and have a backup just in case something happens while it's in pieces so that you're not out of a gun for an up coming game then it's fine but just don't.

It's like having a daily driver that you want to upgrade. Well, if something goes wrong during the weekend then you're out of a car and how are you going to get to work then? It's a better idea to have a daily driver and a weekend warrior car so that at least if one breaks you have a backup so you can get to work on Monday.

PS: Go Prometheus, it's pricey and doesn't have the greatest bang/buck but it's the "best" company out there for aftermarket parts. Modify is moreso for the people who want an upgrade but want good bang/buck and don't mind only upgrading slightly.

I cleaned up the battery wire and fuse, put in a guarder clear hopup rubber and a guarder cutoff lever. That's about it.

I wouldn't touch anything inside the mechbox till it breaks. Up the hop and barrel. but don't touch internals unless something goes wrong. I put a heavier spring in whitch caused the piston to break then i had to fix that too. once u change stuff u really need to tune it just right. so yeah leave it be and wait till something goes wrong befor u open the mechbox at all.

Wait, are you saying Systema makes bad hop-up rubbers?

from what I've done with my vfc scar, most of the internals are pretty good for a stock gun, but adding a sorbo pad or polycarb piston head might help extending the life of the gearbox due to the metal piston. That, and getting a spare hopup unit for it in case you want to swap barrels or in case the unit breaks cause it is plastic

Well I have had good luck useing the Systema Silent Head Set in my ver.2.

Had it before the MASK Sorbo came out and it's still in tip top shape and look's like it will last me a very long time.

So that's one good thing from systema.

I like that on the systema head the mounting plug/stop is aluminum not plastic like on most piston head's. I found this plastic part to fail/crack over time.
