Their was a warning last week on the radio.

They contact you:
Via telephone.
Texting your cell.
Email.

Some claim to be bell, videotron and rogers (don't know about the others).

One simple way is to ONLY do business face to face, via their web-service or YOU initiate the call VIA a official number.

here's a new one for you: look in your inbox, there will be a letter from TD bank saying that there is a login error for online banking and needed some information on your bank account in order to reset it. It almost sounded legit up until the fact that I'm not with TD, so why the hell did this pop up? Turns out, it was a phishing scam according to my browser So if anyone's with TD bank and got this email, it's a scam

Its not just TD.

Ive gotten a few for RBC and HSBC. Which is funny because I do bank with both of those institutions but what set off my alarms was those emails where sent to an email account that I didnt register with either bank.

The more time you waste with them like the previous posters have done, the less chance they have of screwing on old lady out of her life savings. Hope they call me one day I'll have to borrow some of your hilarious tactics.

Post 9-11 mentality makes me think this goes to fund terrorism hehe
