recommended gear loadout
i know allot of people have asked this already, and i have read the Molle vs fixed discussion by Bolt. but im curious as to what people recommend. i have a velocity arms M4. and a KJW 1911 MEU. for gear i have a ESKI drop leg panel with a Nexus fast mag (gen III) and HSGI double 5.56 mag pouch, as well as a HSGI double pistol mag pouch. and a ESKI drop leg holster. it works great for backyard games, but i know it wouldn't work very well for field games and day-long wars.
so i am curious as to what other people would recommend. i bought a Molle vest once and didn't really like it because it was to small for me, and was next to impossible to get on. but i prefer Molle over anything else. so my questions are, number of mags (mid or low cap). plate carrier, chest rig, or standard Molle rig. color. (i always have used black, but that fails miserably at camouflage in the trees.) and what type of mag pouches. double stack, single, shingle, Etc. and what other things would i need, helmet, radio, pads, DBU's. thanks. |

First I think you should probly choose the kind of BDU you want. Then the style of vest/chestrig and match it to your bdu.
As for mags, probably everyone will tell you not to use any hicaps. They don't work very well, sounds like maracas, and it's kind of unrealistic to have 300 rounds in a single mag. Personally I don't want to exceed 90rnds in mine. I had (lost some mags somewhere O_o) 4x90rnds and 2x30rnds. It is more than enough for me. Depends on how much you love to shoot (read "waste BBs" but that's ok too) I'd highly recommend a good 4-5W UHF radio (check with techseller on Asc) and headset+PTT For all the rest it reallu is ypur preference |

depends on where you play and who you play with
if you are on a team, a lot of teams have certain bdu sets they run with

get something that is functional, do not shop on looks, this is a big no no that too manny ppl end up with, and try and get something modal, the more customization the better as your load out will no doubt change over time
