AK-47 Rear Sight Wobbles
Hey guys! I have an Echo 1 Redstar AK-47 Wood AEG, and I have a problem of course cause I'm here! lol
Okay so my silly friend lifted my rear sights to a vertical position X__x he thought you're supposed to use it like a grenade launcher... Anyways, now the sight wobbles side to side, so I can't aim with it properly. I do plan on mounting a scope on it, but I still want the sights for now and future. Anyone know how to fix this =S Thanks in advance! |

I really think this problem will be impossible to figure out unless someone sees it in person.

It sounds like the leaf spring that tensions the rear sight was deformed. Normally on real steel AK's and high quality airsoft replicas it is made out of spring steel, but since it's an Echo1 you have it's quite possible it was made out of a softer metal. You will need a new leaf spring, or you can remove it and try to bend it back.

Hey.
Problem is pretty common with ak's. I used gear shims on the insert posts to keep it from getting too wobbly, helps to align the sights to your bb trajectory as well. Go on airsoftparts.ca and buy a couple shim sets, they're cheap anyway . Handy to have around just in case. |

Airsoft guns aren't that precise like real steel, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
