Just a small point of information, it appears that for shipments to Canada, it shouldn't take longer than normal as after leaving Zurich, Canada Post tracking indicated this:
2012/06/21 / 18:31
International item has left the origin country and is en route to Canada

In fact, this may be my fastest delivery from Hong Kong/China yet.

I've seen em sold in local shops, but for at least $5 more than what I paid for two batteries + shipping.

@Brian, These are just normal LiPo batteries, the only thing special about them is that they go for about $6 a pop.

ok... so really how much is saved.. if you don't have them when you need them?

cost of product.. + shipping, + duty, Taxes, Brokerage.. even if they are 50% cheaper int he end.. what is lost in time wasted

I don't understand why you would purchase from Asia.. and then complain that it takes some time to get them.. it's on the other freaking side of the planet..

Not necessarily, I've heard great things about Turnigy and that's why I purchased them.

Welcome to Shopping Online from Asia.

Well, at least your expectations will be well-adjusted the next time you order from Asia.

My general rule has always been: If I need parts from Asia in 3 weeks, I'll order it today. If I need it for next week, I'll look locally.

You should edit your first post to reflect your blonde moment.

It turns out to about $18 for two batteries + shipping vs one of the same battery for $25 bought locally (not including tax). As for shipping, I have no gripes at all, usually I factor in about one month or so of shipping time, but I find that it's been getting faster and faster lately (though it's the first time I've had a package traverse Europe).

They are actually somewhat better than the ones being sold locally.

Side-by-side against an identically-spec'd battery, the Turnigy Nanotech yields a higher rate of fire than a Firefox or Intellect battery. The difference is less than 3 rounds a second though. *shrug* I suppose this type of thing matters to people.

Most people choose these batteries just because they are significantly cheaper than the batteries in-country, not factoring the time-cost.

Many users on here have had good experiences with Hobby King. I think I am just unlucky when it comes to ordering online. From a US retailer where I get my batteries;

"NOTICE: Effective May 16, 2012 the Postal Service™ Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Serves, listed in the Domestic Mail Manual section 601.10.20, codify that primary lithium metal, lithium polymer, lithium alloy (non-rechargeable) cells and batteries or secondary lithium-ion cells and batteries (rechargeable) are prohibited when mailed internationally to or from an APO, FPO, or DPO location. Until such time that a less restrictive policy can be implemented consistent with international standards, and in accordance with UPU (Universal Postal Union)".

My order has been cancelled, so its time to go back to hobby king.
