Leave gas mags charged?
I know I've read a lot on here and elsewhere that you should leave your gas mags charged for storage. I've also read in the owners manual that you should discharge your mags for storage. So I guess I'm looking fo a difinitive answer. Do I leave my gas mags charged for storage, if so how charged. Fully, 3/4, 1/2 charged or should I discharge the mag for storage?
I know the recommendation for storing them charged is so the seals don't dry out...

Any amount of gas is good.

The answer is yes. Ideally a tiny puff of gas will give it enough pressure to hold the orings and seals in place, but even a full charge is better than non at all, I find.
Once you have any liquid in the mag, then you can have it from a drop all the way to full charge and you will have the same pressure. The only problem would occur if the mags were exposed to high heat in storage. (Don't store them in the attic; or the oven) |

I always leave my mags completely fill with gas.
Like some has previously stated, they keep pressure on your O-rings and your seals giving you a healthier mag. Leaving it filled with crappy propane can leave you with a nasty guck or this weird corrosion inside the mag however. propane like coleman, rona, etc I'd go with a much more cleaner alternative and use bernzomatic's torch propane, much more cleaner, and from what I experienced, doesn't smell like poop. |

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

I've seen a few magazines that leak after some time being left completely full, but very few. Most magazines are stored full, or with a lot of gas in them. I haven't seen a magazine that I would suggest to leave empty. If your not sure, fill your mags with gas and silicone oil and let a couple shots off. By fill I mean completely full of gas with just two, to three drops of oil; and by shots I mean five or six.

Generally half, same principle as lipo batteries actually
If you fill them cold, and they warm up, they may overpressure inside. But if they maintain room temp, then there's no problem storing them full. I would suggest you shoot the gun once a month though. This prevents lubricants from gunking up and cycles the mags. It also ensures your mags stay gassed up if they have leaks too since you're filling them regularly |

Once upon a time at a winter game, I left my propane tank in the cold car that was completely shaded.
Sun came out and temp went up like 10 degrees, also had the mag in my pocket. Went to top it up, not realizing I hadn't used it and actually back-filled my already nearly-full propane tank lol So it does actually happen O_O |
