Hm, interesting. Tricky little buggers. I'll give it a shot when I'm able. Is there a risk of over-tightening?

You can fill it then put it in water... check where the bubbles are coming out. Single stack mags generally leak from the seal... as others have said before, give an overnight silicon oil bath to the o-ring and put it back in. These are some of the easiest mags to fix.

Okay. I'll do the bath. This is literally submerging the o-ring in a silicone oil?

yup.
BUT, if it's rubber, it can swell too much. I'd give it a 15-20 minute soak. Re-install wet and then test. |

That didn't work. I'll try the full diy gasket seal.

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

the old ai adapter was metal (brass) i never had any issue with it. The new plastic ones work just as well and are easyer on mag valves because thebplastic is softer then the brass used for the valves on the mag, the madbull one is aluminium or stainless steel and is harder then the brass valve, it wilm kill valves if yer not gentle cause it can bend and deform the softer brass.
the ai gas can has a brass nozzle so it is less likely to damage brass valves. its not ideal like plastic is hence the new design of the propane adapter. Butbit is much beter then aluminium on brass and is a convienent way to bring gas into the field for emegemcy refills (great for gbbr and grenade users) and nice n compact even compared to the blue propane torch cylenders.
