Mosfet's in general
I've had bad luck with most fets I've had in the past. I'm looking at buying one for my M16A2 Shorty Project to get the 3rd burst appose to the Full auto on the gun along with the added perk's of a microswitch and the general pro's of fets.
I'm a bit stuck though on what is worth the money. If any of you have experience regarding fets or any advice please to put your input below thank you. |

Hey there, I've had some lemons in the past with Mosfets, but I assure you, when you get a good one- they are beautiful.
As for computerized Fets, I run a Gate MERF 3.2. Programmable burst (1-12), and compatible with a microswitch. It's the easiest installing mosfet I've ever dealt with. The fets have faster trigger response, (in this case) thermal resetting fuse, programmable bursts, active breaking, and a plethora of other features. I'd totally recommend getting it. http://www.airsoftstore.ca/index.php...roducts_id=135 |

I only have one issue. I'm storing the battery in the Stocktube.
This is building, mind in the future a separate upper for hot-swaps Ideally the AWS, or the Craptastic ASCU seem to be some of my only options. http://www.airsofthouse.cz/G+P-M16A2...-GP-DIY042.jpg |

by microswitch I'm assuming you meant a button switch, right?
I've been trying to get people to buy the spectre so I can see what they're like lol http://www.btcairsoft.com/spectre_v2gb |

Yup!
I've owned ares for a reason before, mainly because the microswitch gearbox. I normally gutted the gun's two. But going back to normal contacts just isn't the same and PTW style response is what I'm looking to gain. I'm building a Gun from the ground up, literally so Ideally I'm looking to spare no expense in terms of the gearbox. |

I took my M16a4 with a Spectre out on Sunday. The motor got pretty warm (But it was only an SHS, I've heard that higher performance motors ie Tienly don't have this issue), but that trigger response, oh lawdy it put everything else on the field to shame.

I have a BTC Chimera MkI... it's awesome. Trigger response is amazing, and it's easy to set-up / program.
The MkII allows you to delete the anti-reversal latch and cut-off lever, in addition to the traditional mechanical trigger assembly. Thats alot less moving parts to fail. I'd say the only drawback is data cables are very thin gauge and easily fail if nicked or pinched. As long as you're careful routing them, it shouldn't cause a problem though. The spectre eliminates this problem as there are no datacables. Anything from BTC is well worth the 100$ IMO.

I had to keep in the anti reversal, slightly modified, because Im running 12.8V in my set up, and even full breaking was causing over spin on the cycle.
