WE Katana Misfiring
Hi guys, hopefully some of you experienced katana owners can help me with this issue I've been having. When I dry fire my gun the nozzle head shoots and returns properly every single shot (I observed this through magwell). Once I insert it with loaded mags (I've tried multiple brands both hi and low caps), my gun misfires every other round in single fire mode. And when I take out my mag as the misfiring occurs, I see that the nozzle head is stuck in forward position inside the hop up. This occurs with both stock and modify hop ups. What can cause this issue?
(i'm using two sets of 9.6v batteries and the problem seems to be amplified when the battery drains) |

Katana's nozzle are always forward at rest.
It's attached to the piston just like PTWs, and pull back in the cycle. I think your issue might be from hop-up rubber and/or hop-up chamber. Or you have a bad spring. What FPS does it shoot when it works? |

I have two sets of cylinders and two hop-up units, I tried them all the same happens. One cylinder shoots at 360 one around 300. I do notice when I open the split gearbox and dry fire it, the sector gear doesn't seem to stop at the same position every time. This could be the issue? If so what could have caused it?

Misfires like that in AEGS sounds like a issue with the hopup unit aligning with the feeding nipple on the mag. In PTWs the same issue doesn't occur except in clones. Your nozzle travel may not be sufficient to allow feeding or the magazine springs don't have the strength to feed BBs.

I had the same problem on one I was working on for a friend. What condition are your piston teeth in? Seems like a strange question, but We pistons aren't exactly the greatest. I tore one up in <100 rounds.
They make an "upgrade" kit for the Katana. Maybe you should look into it. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/we-katana...l#.U5Co3i9QM7k |
