So I bought this knowing there was a problem with the charging handle getting stuck along with the HK slide covering the hop-up ( pretty sure its one problem ). When i pull back the charging handle its supposed to open the dust cover and pull back the HK slide covering the hop-up.

But,

If i pull the handle back the dust cover opens and the HK slide cover but it doesn't return. Even if I push the charging handle back the HK cover just stays all the way back. I tried lubing it but that didn't do anything. Is it okay just to leave it like this ? I mean, I'd rather not have my dust cover pop open and let all kinds of dirt going directly into my hop-up.

Any suggestions ?

Press the bolt-release on the left-side of the gun...

That cover is supposed to be a fake bolt.

Also take the upper off and clean the lubrification you put in. It's going to attract all kind of shit and really mess up your gun.

Sorry, I shouldn't have left this part out. When I push the bolt release the cover closes maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of the way closed. Because the charging handle has a bit of a wobble for whatever reason, it won't slide directly back into it's starting position. I'm surprised to have this problem with a VFC / elite force gun but what can you do?

If the charging handle is not returned completely the fake bolt will not return all the way forward when released.

What is the condition of the charging handle spring? If it has been stretched it may not allow the charging handle to return all the way forward.

some times the gearbox or the fake bolt cover chaffs on the bolt parts and they won't slide back together as normal... split the upper off the lower and check the bolt is assembled properly, check the charging handle spring for the stretch and reassemble.

I had this happen with my 416 from playing with the bolt too much. Check the fake bolt and see if it's become malformed. Chances are it's bent and catching on your gearbox

This rifle is only about a month old and has only been gamed with twice. It even did it when I first bought it and thought whatever because I had watched a couple videos where people were saying right out of the box theirs did the same thing. I don't think that little bit of plastic can do any damage right?

easy solution would be to just remove the useless fake bolt
