MP5 needs help
Bought an MP5, doesn't work, fired a few shots then stopped, when batteries are on and you pull the trigger it makes a noise that sounds like something is stopping the motor from turning. Took the motor out and it runs fine on its own, put it back in and it work. Any suggestions on something I can do to fix it?
**IF you've already seen this its because I put it in the solutions group by mistake.** :banghead: |

Are you sure the battery isn't dead? Running the motor alone is one thing, but when it has to turn the gears and all the other internal parts it takes more power.

I'm positive, I charged them full, they were warm, and it would not work.

If something in the internals has not broken then check out the following.
Had the same problem with my M4, I had just got it back from being upgraded and it wouldn't have enough power to turn the gears/internals. I thought the upgrades were too powerful for my battery but started looking at the wiring anyways. Turned out the problem was with a loose connection to the fuse. It wasn't making a good connection and was providing too much resistance. I made a strong solder to the battery wires, fuse wires and it fixed the problem. Check if your fuse connections are good or that you don't have a bad connection on the battery wires. After that start checking the internals.

check your gear mesh as well. if the mesh is wrong then it won't turn over, it's also possible that the tappet plate is screwed which means you have to open up the mechbox.

Oh yeah, forgot an easy step. Check the motor tightening screw on the bottom of the grip. Make sure it's not too tight, maybe loosen it a little (turn counter clockwise).
