inconsistant fps

Hi,
I have a Double Eagle Ak47....it has a version 3 gearbox and is supposed to be fully compatible with TM. I know these guns are cheap crap but thats ok with me. I like it so far, only play indoors so far, but when I got it chronoed it was very inconsistant....270,210,290,230,200, and so on. I was wondering if anybody knows what this might be and if I can solve it with just upgrading some parts or not???? Thanks. Pete

Is the hop-up off? if yes then you are looking for airleaks.

Might also need a little lube in the barrel.

It is one of the known Factors. Teflon tape will do. Go ask the people at filairsoft.com they know more about fixing lowend Aeg's from what I read

Hmm.. I love springers. They are fun to shoot people that come over to your
house. Or just shoot shit in your room. I know that greylocks probably had
the same mentality when he bought that WELL springer.

He also has probably never fielded it, Upgraded, or thought about asking
a stupid question about it because he thinks before asking.

Me on the other hand "I dont give a shit" I shoot my friend with his springer
all the time. Fun as hell, He will most likely tell me to fuck off soon.

The hop up is off and they were all .20 high grade bb's...so I guess i need to look for leaks as well as lube the barrel....again, Thank you all very much.

Off shot but I'd toss in the chrony having a bad day, only because it happened to me in October using Foxtails old Chrony1. Chronied both my MP5s, one proven to shoot 387fps (did that at Rawdon last summer) and the other unknown, but has a Prometheus 110 spring in it, assume it's around 340fps.

Out of a half dozen or more shots each between both guns, I got a range from 185fps minimum to 305fps maximum using 0.20g BBs. I didn't really care, I just had to prove my AEGs shot under the field limit (guess you can say they did!) Lol

Chrony has since died, a new guy shot too low and killed the display. Oh well, good riddance to it, had a long and productive life, just spent too much time lying around int eh cold and the rain while turned on.

The double eagle is cheaply built with automotive grease in the mech box.
The parts its made of are so so,but a complete disassembly and rebuild
will have to be done as the build quality of a Double Eagle is very poor.
Half the parts are just thrown in and the other half are over tightened with the
treads pulled off the screws. But anything can be fixed for a price.
Out of the box a Double Eagle needs to be reassembled before using one.

Yes, not to use. Just because it at least looks like an M4 and you can use it to describe pieces.

There are places where crap is fine, when just for looks in a course for example.

For gaming? Useless.
