Unhappy ICS M16A3 Not working

good day all,

I just took out my ICS M16A3 (about 1 year old) , getting it ready for the season. However i noticed a major problem - its not working properly.

to get it to fire in any mode, the selector switch has to be some what offset. Just before the semi for semi, and just after semi for full auto. If I open her up and put a little pressure on the contact, it works fine, but close it up, and back to not firing properly.

please anyone , any ideas?!? I cant wait to get out with my mp5, M16 (C-7) and the two M33 apers (asc7 claymores).

thanks

Wil

ok , i can see it being the firing selctor, that leads to the problem of how to extract the gear box to get at it. the instructions in the manual are either incomplete, or i am missing something. I had all the pins and screws out that the manual points to, and niether the motor or gear box would move.

That does not make allot of sense.. I have the ICS C15 and to get the motor out just undo the screws on the bottom of the grip..I'm guessing you would need to remove the motor before the lower gear box...also if you put it away working, I don't see how it became misaligned over the winter..

1st chek the fire selector see if the screw is tight before winter you might not have cheked that or noticed someting wrong there.

2dn if you take out the lower gearbox by taking off the grip and removing the pin that hold it ,chek the small spring over the selector plate, while there chek if there nothing like rust or someting that could prevent from contact.

If noting wrong there you might have to open the gearbox see if the safety cover is not broken witch is part Ma-54 from ics.

Im not gun doctor but iv repaired 3 ics m4 so far sucessfully ;P

P.S. sorry for my poor english

mmm..... managed to get everything out.....

tried to set / reset the fire selector slide on the side of gear box. No change.

everything is clean and lubed inside.
seems to work if i put pressure on the little plastic piece that make contact with the u shaped wire......

.... still looking at it, hoping not to have to send it to hospital

wil

.... mmm now seems not to fire, and when it does.... gears are slipping. i think i am going to have to send for repair... this is getting beyond my comfort level.
thanks all
