Charging 10.8v battery pack on 12v charger..

My TLP EXPRO II can charge 4-8 cells which is up to 9.6v. I'm planning to add one more cell to my battery pack to compensate for my SP160 setup. Now, can my TLP charger charge a 9 cell battery pack (10.8v)?

Thanks

I really doubt it will work well...

First, if it is an auto detect charger (you don't have to input the cell number), it might work, but will not charge the pack full for sure.

If it is manual selection, it will probably give an error like false voltage or something.

The only thing that is sure: you are beating up your charger...

And...errr...why 10.8v??? even with a 150% spring a good pack should be able to drive it....

My guess is that you are still using a small pack... and probably will have to change the gears to give more torque to your gun...At this voltage, chances are you will have to change your motor every 10000 bbs or so...anyways.. your gun!

It just crossed my mind because the output of my charger is 12v. Normally, to charge your battery... you should have a higher volter charger than your battery. I can buy a 12v battery pack but I'm sure that'll make my charger useless..
