Marushin M712 blowback
I found a couple videos on YouTube claiming to show a Marushin M712 blowback pistol.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiDbaxB-nmM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uxAySZAefo Here's a real steel M712 just for kicks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0arGVi2pwz4 I'm still glad I bought my HFC Mauser though. I should buy the Marushin one for its "wow factor", and keep the HFC for its "oww factor" (370+ fps). |

Very cool! I like the full auto effect, does yours fire in full auto or just in semi?

Mine (HFC), fires in semi-automatic mode only, no movable bolt as in the videos, unfortunately. Even if the bolt did not blow back, it would have been nice if you could operate it on the NBB version.
Being an NBB, the trigger pull is long and heavy. However, you can manually cock the hammer, which also chambers a BB. This makes for a very short and light single-action trigger pull. When I first watched the videos, I wondered if it was a hoax or something, since none of the major retailers seem to have it in-stock, or even mentioned it. A brief glance at other forums did not turn anything up either. However, after further study of the videos, I can say for certain that it is at least a gas-powered replica of the M712, when you compare the recoil to the real steel one Secondly, I believe it is a BB-firing weapon as well, based on what you see when you focus on the last few frames of the video. If you watch the front of the extended magazine, you can sort of see the familiar open-slot of any gas-pistol magazine. In any case, it's a nice weapon and I can't wait until its officially released. Hopefully short magazines will also be available since the extended ones, while very practical, diminish the appearance of the gun. |

I'm pretty sure that one is Marushin's NBB Mauser (which HFC copied and made full-metal).
http://128.177.0.116/broomhandle.htm Also, I stand corrected about it not being released. Den Trinity Shop has them now: http://www.dentrinityshop.com/pr_details.jsp?pid=10998 The only thing good about it is the blowback feature. Unfortunately, it's plastic construction, 8mm BBs and only 13 rounds. The metal finish looks decent, but the wooden grips are horrible. Flush fitting magazines would probably only hold 6 rounds making it an un-ideal weapon for games, even as a sidearm. Last edited by sdkfz234; January 5th, 2007 at 12:32.. |
