v2 trigger issue
ok... wtf! this is really starting to piss me off. a while ago, i broke that trigger post thing inside my mechbox... i fixed that. the other day i went to go use my rifle, and it doesnt seem to fire on auto. semi works perfect, however on auto, the trigger clicks (mechanically).
so i took it down, figured the post repair (screw in place) was too long and causing the issue. i wasnt sure how, but it was the only thing i had done since it last worked. so i cut it down, partially reassembled and no.... still no worky. so now im going through the trigger mechanism, the little cantalever that the exterior fire selector and the little spring connect to, i adjusted the position of that, now it seems as though the contacts are backwards... when i pull the trigger on semi, the motor spins freely, when i select auto, it spins once per pull, if anything, i still occassionally feel the click, its like something is outta place and mechbox.com doesnt talk about the trigger. im takeing a break so i figured i would ask and see if someone else has had this problem/ symptoms. or if someone is seeing something im not doing. |

ok... ive done some diagnoseing, its definatly related to the cantalever inside the mechbox. when the contact selector plate is in the auto position, the cantalever is pressed forward, when it s in semi, it sits free. ive worked it back and forth with jsut the pistol grip and motor attatched to the mechbox and found as soon as the cantalever is activated or moved, it causes a problem with the trigger pull itself... still unclear how. anyone have a pic/ vid of ANY how too with the trigger assy?

Check the screw on the switch assembly if it is protruding outside the mechbox on the selector plate area. Just file the screw if it is. I have encountered a similar issue awhile ago where my Aeg only fires semi and it does not go on auto.

i figured it out with the aid of my better half, swatt6-4. what the problem ended up being was that the cantalever was not seated/ aligned properly with the slider contact piece. with that in place it prevented the cantalever from engageing all the way, which prevented the fire selector to slide back all the way and fully selecting fully auto which in turn caused the conact/ trigger to jam. so there was a chain reaction going on. the "click" i described was the triger forceing the slider to force its way past the catalever (as the gun was not in either semi nor full). i realigned the cantalever/ trigger assembly, and we filled fown the sliding surface on the contact slide block.
problem solved... make sense? |
