gun not firing
i just bought this
http://www.actionhobbys.co.uk/JG-W73...AEG_AB2IP.aspx when i first used it it worked with no problems at all then a couple of days later it just stopped working. no bbs are jammed fully charged battery and nothing is added or removed from what came out of the box. When i pull the trigger back it seams like the motor pushes and then the piston or something just does not want to move. so after a while i decided to open up just the top part and look at it and then i tried to shoot it when it was open (of course not having bbs in ) and the piston or what i what i am 99% is the piston does not move at all so whats up can anyone help me or if you can recommend someone who can help fix it (btw i live in Regina Saskatchewan) please do. ps. im brand new to airsoft |

no i didn't i actually bought it off a street vendor kind of thing but i obviously made sure it was not tampered with and the box not open but they let me try it out in front of them. and it worked fine, it also worked fine when i took it home and i was able to use it for a while then my first post kicks in.

can you test the battery to make sure it works properly?
if nothing broke and the gearbox still jams, it means somehow the juice is not there, (or the motor got weak...) so maybe the battery has a problem. my 2 cents. |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

the problem is that you bought a jing gong lol
could be something jamming the gears, piston broken, broken gear, bad motor, theres a large number of possibilities, all related to the gun being made out of crappy materials. It is repairable though |

charger
ok well i was looking more closely at my gun and i realized the charger its self is not Canadian so that now has me thinking that is why the battery is not either charging or producing the power needed. so of course i'm gonna purchase a new one. But i'm just wondering A) if i get a different charger and use the battery supplied with gun will it explode/break? cause of course thats not good and B)where may i be able to buy one, i'm hoping to be able to find a store here in Regina (rather then buying it online and ordering one but if i have to i will), does anyone know if i would be able to find it maybe in like Walmart or The Source?

A) NO. Most chargers are universal and work for up to 7 cells. If you need something else you might want to order online. I recommend buying a "smart charger". That way there is no chance of over charging or damaging the battery. B)The Source should have them if they sell RC Cars. They use basically the same batteries so they should use the same chargers. If not check out www.aasurplus.ca they're located in Winnipeg I think.

could the piston head screw have come off and landed in the gears jaming them?

Thats a possibility, it could also be that the gears or piston teeth have striped and landed in the gears.

The only way to know is to actually open up the gearbox.

Well, a first step should be to pull the motor out of it and try to fire it. See if the motor turns. Your first step should not be opening the mech box.
