HCF M190 piston/gas cylinder snag
Hey,
I recently purchased an HFC M190. After lubricating it well I shot a few rounds. On about my 9th reload, the slide gets stuck half way back. I take it apart to find the edge of the gas cylinder has gotten hung up on the edge of the rubber piston. These parts can be seen here : http://www.airsoftscotland.com/acata...GBBs.html#a660 For a better idea the parts and where they go, check this out: http://img.redwolfairsoft.com/upload...losion55-l.jpg - the piston is number 55, circled in red; the cylinder is part number 10, seen to the left of the piston. So I now have a torn piston and a sad un-shootable M9. Well, I CAN shoot it, but the BBs just roll out. My questions for you friendly folks are:
Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can give me. I appreciate it! -Dan |

UPDATE
ok, so thanks to a bit of searching around this forum, i found a site ( http://www.scorpionairsoft.com/ ) that had the part i needed. thanks to whoever.
anyway, now my question is how to prevent this from happening again. any m9 owners have any tips? the little part cost me $15 after shipping, and i'd like for it to not happen again, i'm sure you all can imagine why thanks! -dan edit: would this http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=18131 fit? As I understand it, this isn't a very common issue. As long as you take good care of your gun (lube and clean) you should be alright. What type of gas where you using when this happened ?

propane, with two or three drops of oil in the valve as directed
it might be worth noting that this happened twice. broke the original and the spare. |
