Modify gear sets compatible with classic army

im just wondering which modify modular gear sets are compatible with a 7mm classic army gear box aswell as a 6mm one

I was under the impression that they all came with shims for 6 and 7mm.

that's what they do come with but on the airsoftparts.ca website it says what each ones compatible with but it doesn't mention Classic army for any compatibility

Don't CA have reinforced mechboxes? Those chasses won't fit in reinforced mechboxes.

Yeah, they don't fit in re-inforced boxes. I bought a re-inforced box under the impression it would fit, which apparently it would with modification, but I'm not exactly adept at metal work. Hacksaw anybody?

None of them will work with CA V2 gearboxes, you have to get regular standalone gears. They have raised material around each bushing which interferes with the modular gearset bracket.

what about v3 mechboxes? i have an ak and an sl8 that i'm wanting to upgrade
