painting a ak-47

i was wondering about painting my ak-47 before an event coming up.
it all been taken apart and ready to be painted.

but im wondering should i paint just the wooden parts, just the metal (body and barrel) or the entire thing.

im using krylon ultra flat paint and im going to be painting woodland style.

what do you guys think would look better?

thanks for the feedback.

imo, all black, or, just the metal parts black, leave the wood bits brown, also youll find in high traffic areas, the black will rub off quickly. Camo-ing it up is entirely up to you, i personally think its ugly but its your gun.

i painted my faux wood parts with krylon satin black, did 8 coats no primer. Didnt start to wear out for a few games, but as said before it will have wear, in the stock and pistol grip. And in order to upkeep and maintain its look, if you go camo (which IMO is not good for an AK) it will wear out, it will need constant painting and sanding to keep its look. Good luck!

I've never been much of a fan of camo painted weapons, a flat drab colour tends to look best, and then add a camo sheath if you want better concealment ability with it.
