So when someone sells a gun for 50% of its usual market value because they need to get rid of it fast, everyone else who tries to sell the same gun afterward will not be able to get their 100% asking price because of that. Good times.

Where's your logic in that? If he sells his gun at $200 when it usually goes for $400, then whoever buys it got a great deal. It's just a one time deal. No ones says that a buyer has to post a certain price for his goods. If he puts it too high, it might not sell. It's up to the seller to post his price and for the buyer to be educated enough to know what is a reasonable price for it.

This rule also helps the seller to give a price instead of asking I don't know how much to ask for this gun. He now can do a search and see the price range that similar guns sold for.

bruce has the right of it- the airsoft market pops up and down often... but I would hardly think that one or two people selling off stuff 'cheap' would bottom out the whole thing.

Its simple supply and demand here in Canada, and now the supply seems to be better you simply cant demand what you could when there were few retailers. If supply can truly be met with good retailers (and a ton of CANSOFT on the market) then prices will only get more reasonable.

I see it as good for the sport (if somewhat bad for people who paid $500CAD for a $200USD gun and can now 'only' sell it for $350CAD lol). But then thats the free market economy and few people actually see a full 100% return on any investment really.

So... if we take anything from your post... it's that airsoft helps one avoid family obligations

Im not really sure whats so hard to understand.

Info can be retrieved but with work, work that can be avoided if nothing is deleted in the first place.

Archieved sales are useful to both sellers and buyers who can check to see what going rates are, what prices would be good to move something if you wanted a quick sale and finally useful incase a despute is created.

How someone can get confused with that is beyond me.
