Friend wants a good quality MP5A3, A5 or J : brand recommended?

As stated, a friend is looking for an MP5A3, A5 or J (basically an MP5 with a retractable stock, ideally a rail in front to put a vertical grip but this can be added later).

He wants to invest in a good AEG since it will be the only AEG he will buy (yes, I laughed too when he said that ), he wants something that will be as problem-free as possible.

I know Tokyo Marui is the classic quality brand but what other companies are known to make good MP5 nowaday?

Thanks everyone.

Other than V2,

G36
AK
MP5K

Get an ICS M4 if he could find one, the full metal one ( not the halfbreed)

I vote for CA or TM, depend on your friend's fund. There are a lots of MP5 on Classified, Get the full stock, I like the large battery work. No need to change battery during fire fight, will be last long for next game.

If you can find a source for them, these are apparently really great for the money... The Echo 1 Master Series MP5

http://echo1usa.com/English/index.ph...roducts_id=409

All metal upper, railed front end, and comes with 2 complete lower receivers for CQB or outdoor play.

Those MP5 are v2?? I thought they were all v3... Which MP5 are v3 beside the Mp5K?

Thanks for the heads up, I was convinced they were all v3 since my MP5K is v3.

Damn. Thanks Crunchmeister. I'll have him review his desires then.

I'd actually put G&G on the bottom of the non-ACM guns. The full metal ICS ones however are very good.

As for "problem free" - the issue with V2 boxes is that shells break from excessively upgraded springs in non-reinforced shells. Regular shells can break after time under a light spring too, but it's less likely. They don't have any more internal issues than any other version gearbox. A moderate velocity (under 375) in a reinforced shell will last a hell of a long time problem free. V2 shells usually break when people try to push them too hard or abuse their guns with a lot of dry-firing.

As far as I know, the only MP5 that comes with a reinforced shell out of the box is a Classic Army. As far as I'm concerned, they also make the finest quality metal bodies of any airsoft MP5. They tend to cost a bit more than the other brands, but will last a long time.
