Wasn't there a reference picture somewhere with a few guys in different patterns in different backgrounds?

I'll see if I can find it but what you should do is take a look at the local area you'll be playing at and compare the different patterns against it.

Also I play in Fleck and will be converting to Multicam (well more like running 2 different sets of camo). Reason being is that fleck is fine and dandy for forested and heavily dominated "green" areas (eg. moss on the trunks of trees, thick brush etc.) whereas multi seems to work better in the other place I play (lots of prairie grasses, brown/tan dominated).

Multicam is by no means noobcam. Pattern doesn't really matter it's really the person using it and a way to differentiate teams (eg. instead of red vs blue armsbands we use green dominant camo vs tan/brown dominant camo).

Personally i would stay away from ACU. It doesn't blend in to anything, cept maybe sand and dead bushes. But it is personal preferance. If ACU turns your crank then go for it.

Ha ha. I've seen pics of some early-deployment SAS in A-Stan, all wearing a mish-mash of gear and camo. Or maybe I'm a guerilla using whatever I can get my hands on (of course, I'll need a lower-tech rifle than my silenced, scoped, PEQed M4).

Get your self an AK and you will complete the picture.

AK47, the trade mark of the thirdworld country.

A G3 or FN-FAL would likely do the trick, too. Is there an airsoft FN-FAL? Hmmm...

Maybe try the ABU (Airman Battle Uniform). It's essentially a digitized tiger stripe pattern from what I remember.

MARPAT might also work pretty well too. It's more brown dominant with green tones. So it should blend in with the grasses and the bases of the tree trunks.

EDIT: NOTE: I have no experience with either pattern. I am just basing my recommendations on the dominant colours in the patterns and the reference picture.

The ABU is digitized Tiger Stripe, but colour wise, it's almost the same as the ACU-UCP.

From the colours of terrain in the pics, Rhodesian camo might work, if you can find it anywhere.

NoGear...come visit me when the 70 mile fire is done...we are just gearing up with bdus that work VERY well in the Clinton/Cariboo region. Its nice to see for your self and form your own opinion.

My Friend here is running Flecktarn, and I do believe I am starting to change his mind...at least the last game he attended, and borrowed a set of bdus from us, and the words 'invisible' was bandied about.

I heard 'disappeared' when I attended the local game here in 100 Mile House, a couple weeks agon.

But see for yourself and then decide.

Or hey, how bout we meet half way at 70 mile surplus?...they are starting to get more AS stuff in, and have some other stuff to look at as well. I would be a nice excuse to go for a shop.
