Thank you. That is exactly what I meant.

Now is not the time to criticize.
I raise the point because this is not new and you start to wonder how many tragedies must occur before they invest sufficiently to at least achieve an "average" safety rating.

I have travelled there and have friends throughout the country. I could cite ample statistics about the saftey record of the domestic airlines in Russia and the Tupolev, modernized or otherwise but that is another discussion for another time. My neighbors (Polish) raise the same concerns.

No disrespect implied or intended. Frustration perhaps.

Great loss for Poland indeed. Good think Poland has a strong constitution and should be back up on their feet soon. Moje kondolencje dla Polski.

I saw a Polish Canadain Politician remarking on the symbolizim of this tradgedy I believe they were flying for this Katyn event.

Its a terrible accident and there's a lot of back and forth of 'not' accussing anyone and who will make the investigations. Its a testament to the Polish people that the very night huge memorials and ceremonies were massively attended and smooth. Again the Poles have a rough road ahead and I hope to see the other European Union members stepping in to assist Short term.

Along with the President died a large cross section of the country's living history and elite. There exist protocols and procedures designed specifically to avoid this. Their security coordinators failed them.

I think it goes without saying that I do wish the best for those killed. The universal grief expressed says something about his administration.
