Elements are pretty good considering their price and their performance is above average, but Guarder and G&P is the way to go.
either the Guarder Infinite Torque Up Motor or a G&P M170 |

okay matrix blue turbo motor it is. Friend showed it to me through skype, faster than my current motor and thats all i need. i'll pick up a better motor when i go back to HK and TW during the winter break. And hopefully find a metal HK416 upper receiver for my none metal 416....

That's misleading. Element is a low end company but they make great high speed motors. My element high speed motor gets me 40+ RPS on an 11.1 lipo and stock gears. Don't know about you but that's definitely an "upgrade" in my books.

You cant just look at ROF alone. Efficiency, Torque, # of Revolutions and loudness are factors you have to consider. Its faster than a standard ratio motor. Whoopdee do. A Chinese clone of a lamborgini is still going to be faster than a volvo... regardless of it being a clone. Doesnt mean I would ever want to get in an accident in one.

You're right. ROF isn't everything. My motor is strong enough to pull a 400 fps spring, and it's at least efficient enough at least to last an entire day on a 9.6 mini. It's not that much louder than the stock motor and I don't have a device that can measure efficiency and I assume neither do most people. So yeah there really isn't much more *I* can ask for in a $30 motor. And it's really unfair of you to compare Chinese Lambos to Volvo, who make some of the safest cars in the world. I'm sure in a collision a real lambo won't fare anywhere near as well as a Volvo.

Efficiency is determined by the output (both in rotations and torque) in comparison to the amperage drawn. 9.6 mini doesnt say much, as it just shows the voltage. Its the Amperage that you need to look at.
Im not a car guy, it was just the best analogy i can think of at the time. TM Motors like the EG1000 (higher rof) vs the EG3000 (Super high ROF) ranges in the 30-40$ range. They are much more efficient in terms of energy consumption, much quieter and produce more torque. Comparing this with the Matrix Motors, I fail to see the validity in your argument

I've never used matrix motors so I can't vouche for them. Where is it that you can buy an EG30000 for $30? I would really like to know.

When they first came out, they were availiable for 30-40 bucks at a few retailers, it appears they have been marked up to 50 now on redwolf.
I know I can still get them for 40, but not through Online retailers. Eg1000's are still availiable for 30 bucks or so on ehobby.
