It's too bad they don't carry the Canadian WWII Battledress. Does anyone know where I could find a sewing pattern for it. I hate the idea of dismantling an original in order to reproduce it. Then I still have to find green material for a Canadian impression. I already have half the 1937 Pattern Web Equipment.

Anyone have any feed back for spearhead's German stuff? Only thing I got from them was a helmet cover, it was too big(no size selection option during order) and it came with a few white spots on it(like as if those spots were missed during the dying process).

I have FJ pants from Hessen and Spearhead. They are near identical in make and material.

Neither of them have had buttons fall off nor have they ripped at the seams.

Actually they have 2 warehouses. One in the US and one in Dubai. But yeah, most of their stuff comes from the Dubai. But eh, 1 week shipping is awesome. Only sucks when you have to return stuff.

I've also asked spearhead who is the manufacturer of their tunics, here is the response:

"Hello,
the tunic was made by our own factory, and most of the uniforms we sell on eBay are made by ourself.
best regards
barry"

I am going to buy from ATF since most reviews suggest they are the best. I just wish the shipping wasnt so high ($150 for my whole order compared to $80 for the same order from Hiki).

Order by phone in regards to ATF (I do). The shipping quote seems on the high end as I have ordered whole kits with helmet and boots and the shipping wasn't over $100 . I know they offer EMS via the USPS.

They offer lower shipping when you order over the phone? Im ordering tunic, pants, gas mask can, mess kit, y-strap, along with a bunch of other smaller items.

I wouldn't put it that way exactly. They ship by weight. I believe their shopping cart has a high shipping quote which they refund the difference after weighing the items. Their ebay store works the same way.

I suggest ordering by phone regardless.

Try www.civilwarboots.com/war_boots.asp You'll spit up your coffee though when you see the price. The boots are about 3/4 the way down the page.

Nice find Fritz2.

Thanks!

The price sure is up there. But I'd rather have thoses than some of my airsoft guns that I rarely use.

Time to put more up in the classifieds.

I noticed that ATF has a weird shipping quote system. The last 3 orders I did from them (so all the orders I did from them) they quoted me a shipping price. I grumbled and paid it. Then they sent me an email saying they overquoted the shipping and returned a big chunk of it. It was like almost half on one order. BTW I didnt do any of those over the phone, they were all off their webstore.

I ordered from them last week. They did not charge me until the date they shipped it. The shipping was close to $200 according to the website, but in the invoice they sent me, it was around $100.

The other thing about ATF...when you order a size 44 tunic, you GET a size 44 tunic. Most of the places in Asia seem to me to have a weird sizing problem. I take a 44 tunic but had to get a size 48 Spearhead tunic (Canadian) in order to fit. ATF might cost a little more but they are well worth it.

+1!

Ordered a USMC P42 outfit when it was crazy cheap (EDIT: It still is) and the quoted shipping was like 40$ for a 70$ order. But after I paid, the emailed me to tell me they had cut down the shipping to like 30$. It's not as cheap as WPG, but you buy good quality and QC.
