Yup. A couple of years ago, I ordered 6 MP5 mags from the US. Customs held the order for about 2 weeks before sending them on to me.

Upon receipt of my package, I found they had not only opened and inspected my items, but had disassembled the mags completely. And they didn't even reassemble them. They just stuffed all the parts into a plastic bag, taped it up wiht CBSA tape and sent it on its way. They mangled up all the follower springs and lost one of the pins that holds the mags together in the process.

Luckily I was able to get the springs straightened out so the mags feed properly, and a finishing nail cut to size served as a good replacement pin. But it was really fucked that they could do that to my stuff and have no responsibility for the damage they caused.

I had an extractor for a custom build vanish. It probably added about 8 months onto the build time before another one made it over.

I have a question regarding importing Airsoft, not via mail but personally over the boarder. If you have a PAL (and passed CFSC) and cross the boarder, purchase and drive back across, does this still fall under the law that prevents importing? Sorry, if I am beating a dead horse (please dont jump down my throat for asking) by asking.

I'm 99% sure it's seized. Best of luck getting it released but you're pretty much SOL.

Having a PAL has absolutely NO bearing on airsoft. Zero.

If the airsoft gun can be imported legally, you can do so without a PAL; if it cannot, having a PAL will not change that.

I've had really mundane packages sit in customs for weeks (and arrive un-inspected) It's just the way customs works sometimes.

Don't make assumptions until you get a notification from customs.
