I started playing airsoft last year after playing paintball for a few years, really enjoy paintball for the speed and tournament play. Love woodsball and was really looking to play more of a tactical game but found most paintball was about high rate of fire and and tons of paint going down range.
After playing airsoft have really enjoyed the tactical aspect, better accuracy, really cool gear and guns. After the initial gear purchase, bb's are dirt cheap compared to paintballs. And yes, no kids on the field is really nice, there are good guys in both, all depends on who you care to play with.
So spring, summer, fall, mostly airsoft with a bit of paintball thrown in. Winter is indoor paintball, surfing ASC and accumulating airsoft gear for new season
Also I got to admit, leaving the field and not having to clean paint off my clothes and gear, is really, really nice.
