I've owned TM Glock 17 and now own a WE G17. Externally, the TM definitely feels a lot better than the WE. WE Feels like it's made of cheap plastic.
That being said, in the performance category, the WE actually is able to hold it's own. The WE is propane ready out of the box, and is actually very consistent in velocity and accuracy. On the other hand, the plastic slide on my TM broke within a month's use on propane, which forced me to spend $70 on a metal slide. At the end of the day if your budget isn't restricted, then get the TM and a metal slide, or use duster gas. If you're on a tighter budget, get the WE; it can handle propane out of the box, and performs almost as good as a stock TM.

Sorry Superhog, We must have posted at the exact same time.
Where is the VFC 18C available in Canada? They look well made! Is there much in the way of after market upgrades etc? I'd like to check it out? |

It is new. There are a lot of dealers in Canada that sell the VFC Glock once supplies are available.
As for upgrades, I am sure it will exist. Look at the KRISS Vector, upgrades are already showing up in the market. The VFC Glock looks solid and well made. I have several VFC's and will buy this for sure. |

Quality, effectiveness, longevity wise; then Tokyo Marui is the way to go.
There are a few good pistol companies that you can trust, WE is not on that list. Every WE pistol I've seen has been plagued by one issue or another, or several. WE guns often feel more realistic as Tokyo Marui guns are made of plastic, but the trade off is a train wreck waiting to happen. This is just my opinion from personal experience. But I've also owned, used, a seen many in action from either side; and the results are always the same.

A decent alternative is a KSC, or a KWA ATP. The ATP is not called a glock for legal reasons, but it's based off of a Glock 18, and is quite ergonomic.
