The boys at the lodge know where to find the hats.

One of my few regrets is not keeping that hat. It took about a year to get it right!

I have few questions:
1) Which liner was in use? like this?

which year should be the liner and the helmet? is there any NSN/FSN known? Any photos?

2) did CF use Mitchell "leaf" pattern helmet cover or ERDL (woodland) pattern?
Any photos of CF of 80's with M1 helmets and helmet covers?

3) what helmet band did they use?

4) I've found some interesting gear here
http://mooremilitaria.com/protective...ccessories.htm
Which helmet\cover is more suitable?

5) Which uniform set was in use? OD Mk2?
And FSN/NSN? or any information how to tell original from fake or other age items?

One of those complete M1 helmets with the mitchel camo pattern helmet cover would be accurate for an old CF impression. I don't think there were a lot of the mitchel pattern camo covers issued in the CF but they did have them.

What helmet band did they use? Theres only one kind of helmet band that I know of.. just get the green one with the cat eyes. The tan ones are a new item.

Sщ, did CF use woodland (ERDL) helmet covers in 80's?

There are also Vietnam era helmet bands without cat eyes...When did CF start to use helmet bands with cat eyes? Are they proper?

I can't say for sure if ERDL covers were used but I wouldn't be surprised.

In the 1980s cat eyes were on helmet bands.

There were two covers, one reversible with a brown/green leaf pattern and another with one that was not reversible and older. Anyone who had one of the old ones hung onto it on the principle of anything that was different than issue counted for points. I can' say for sure if was that one on the site since I had the reversible version.

I've found such unidentified foto:

Who can describe what is the period of this picture? I think it is after year 1990 when C7a1 where issued, isn't it? But I can't identify his helmet cover. It looks like scrimming net with some rags

Woodland helmet cover, and the cover looks like the laundry bag with scarf or t-shirt strips tied on.

For now I have only these photos/images:

here is Mitchell "Leaf" Pattern helmt cover (reversible)

Here is ERDL (woodland) helmet cover, year 1983...

I would appreciate very much for photos (especially!) or any helpful information!

this photo sprang instantly to my mind when you mentioned the helmet covers, Here's one from 1990 and I'm pretty sure that they were using the same stuff as in the 80's

One of the most famous CF pics ever:

That is one of the woodland covers with a WWII/Korea net over it with scrim attached. I used one of those nets on mine. The original cover I was issued was the Mitchell leaf pattern. I did see one or two ERDL covers floating around, but that was between Mitchell and woodland. Initially I had a piece of innertube as a helmet band, but then got the cats eyes version in mid80's.

I've found this image:

C1 SMG (Sterling, L2A1)

Actually, who knows what is the helmet cover pattern? is that Mitchel "leaf"? looks like it is, and that is "summer"\desert side of it.
And what is the period of this photo?

What is the name of this flak vest?
