bioval study

cool video.

Apparently bioval commissioned a study of airsoft bbs. It is an interesting read. Check out what appears to be an independent study at:

http://www.biovalbbb.eu/LevanteLabsBalisticbbTest.pdf

Also their site still mentions "BBBDimplex"- the dimpled bb, so maybe there is something to the golf ball analogy.

That "independent test" has been under a lot of scrutiny from players, particularily ASC and Scarecrow.

Yeah but basically in the last 2 pages they admit to the BBBmax having more penetration power, dealing damage to a more concentrated area, and more likely to crack goggles, glass, and break bones (I'm talking about knuckles and teeth)

Are they outlawed in skirmishes?

Seems that they would be very good for accuracy and fps.

To my knowledge they aren't. But its sure it can be more dangerous.

Surely the safety gear we wear can protect against a harder bb. The report CLAIMS that bodily injury is lessened with these bbs! I would think that spreading the load over more area would lessen the damage incurred and would therefore make the traditional plastic bbs safer??

I would think that snipers especially and airsofters in general would benefit by the accuracy increase.

Also their site is peppered with testimonials from seemingly reputable sources.

Bastards are made in Canada. Buy Canadian! (Actually don't since it only fuels protectionism and tariffs but for $10 I mean it's not like you're buying only American cars and putting a blockade on Asian imports)

IIRC they are not made in Canada. Scarecrow has them made in the US and shipped up.

Actually one of the rumours is thats where Tru disappeared to, he's been rented out as slave labour to produce BB's for Scarecrow. We recently found our he can survice on the fungus and mold growning in the basement so production costs by not having to buy week old bread from the bakery has dropped huge hence the new $10/bag costs.

Other then that though Bastards are some of the best BB's I've used to date and I've used pretty much every brand other then those Boival ones during my time. I run primarily Black BB bastards now, with a few whites mixed in for targeting.

hahaha!

yeah, a tracer mix is the way to go. just remember you have blacks in or you'll think you're misfiring all the time. happened to me at BW2. kept thinking I had a jam or something. didn't help the gun was fairly new to me.
