I've seen some people run duster (I'm guessing this just a can of compressed air). Whats the difference pressure wise? Would GBBs be safer using duster vs using propane?

Yes, duster is lower pressure, and therefore, produces lower FPS in guns.

Its what Japanese guns are designed for, as they're laws prohibit guns from firing over 1j

However, many Japanese guns (TM for example) usually perform fine, at least for a while with the higher pressure, propane.

Not sure about other brands, only GBBs i have ever owned are all TM

Duster usually gives sluggish performance. Should work with ABS slides. The duster gas adapter should come with the propane adapter.

Metal slides are ok to import, so you can just order it by yourself.

barrels and slides are fine, as long as they are longer then a certain length (can't remember the exact number, USP compact might be too short)

Frames are restricted

Those are fine too. You should read the FAQs. They are a great source of info.

This is the list that tells you what is good and what isnt: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=40318

All the new TMs, system 7s, along with any GBB with a metal slide should be okay on propane. Most of the other GBB brands support propane/green gas as well (WE, KJW...) I think the only brand that generally uses duster gas is Western Arms - propane would put too much strain on the internal components.

Well, changing to a metal slide isnt as simple as just switching the slide.
You need to upgrade a few other springs to compensate for the wieght of your new slide.

talk to ILLusion here on the boards, hes basically the guru about all things GBB.

Hes also a retailer, so he should be able to get you whatever parts you need, and help you pick out the right ones
