Anyone who knowingly put another player in harms way by his/her actions such as discharging his AEG/GBB in a safe zone have no business playing airsoft or have anything to do with the community. this individual should be banned for life, shit happen in the field, it's only a game.
To deliberately hurt someone else for a game?? come on grow the fuck up, if you can't stand being shot from up close or being mercied than I suggest you should leave and go play something else more suited to your liking. As screwed up as some of us are, we draw the line when it comes to endangering another player and no way that this should be tolerated with a simple short period suspension. |

"Your honor we were playing around with a bunch of replica firearms and he assaulted me with one during the "time out session" at a local game" by shooting me in the back numerous times". That's just as bad as someone posting a "video on youtube". |

I agree - if either party pursued it, its liable to go that way in a court of law. That was my point. The other point is where an AEG can be interpreted as a weapon and an assault occurs - you don't need charges, what was described here was plainly assault in two forms. I'm not suggesting someone pursue it, however, the fact remains it occurred and those are the potential legal consequences as a result of spectacularly bad judgment and loss of emotional control - over what? A game. Pathetic really.

Dealing with the matter in a civilized manner outside of the court room would be the most logical answer if either of them cared about the sport. I know for a fact that one of them is trying to pursue it in this manner. The last thing this sport needs is this kind of bad publicity.
Some times we loose our heads, ever think that the reason the person reacted like that was to "removed the threat?" There for if it ever does go to court it will be established as self defense. Getting shot in the back with people around? You can't just jump to conclusions. Like everything there is always more to the story. The racism charge for running around as an insurgent with an accent? come on buddy Airsoft is LARP with guns. That charge just honestly seems like a cry for attention. i was there on the feild when the incedent happened, but did not witness the events leading up to the assault. i have been contacted by both parties involved and both tell me they regret the situation. while both say that it was a mistake the punnishment is not equal. since both players know the error of their ways i dont think a life long ban is required, but i do feel both should suffer the same punnishment. that said i do think that the guys running Hardcorps are in a difficult spot and that this kind of incedent is very rare in airsoft(first i have seen in 6years).

I for one have witnessed not only a teammate, but my brother be shot out of anger in a safe zone at point blank..This was my brother's first ever attendance to a true event..pretty much ruined our whole weekend. I was glad to see the game organizers not only ban this guy from future events for life, but called him out publicly here and let everyone know who he was..We as a group need to know who these douchebags are and make sure they stay out of this sport. These people are the ones that shed negative light on our hobbie, and we just don't need it.

i guess what i am saying is that in the 6years i have been playing this is the first fight i have ever witnessed. both involved players have appologise and both screwed up. i think both parties should be punnished equaly, but a life long ban is uneeded.

Fuck it, I'd ban. You shoot someone in the safe zone, you're jeapordizing other people's safety. That kind of behaviour has no place in airsoft. It's not like the "Don't shoot people in the safe zone where no-one has googles and you're suppose to have the barrel covered and mag out" is a grey, hard to understand rule.
