I hope it doesn't turn out that the roller on top was an important part of WE's design. I'm really hoping these are good and we can stop getting that part snapped off

I received my steel hop up chambers. No wobble on my end, but I have not shot any bb's through it yet. One problem though, I ordered two and one of them is probably a lemon. When screwed together, the inner barrel is not secure, where as the other one is secure. Le sigh!

Hmr Teflon? Where would I use that? One of the problems with the chamber not screwing together was the little gaskets that are on the little hinge that pushes down on the hop up. Had to remove one in order to screw it together, very strange. I'll test fps later on >_>

Don't apply too much Teflon; 2-3 layers are good.

Ohhh, thought it was mainly for AEG, so I've never done that for my GBBR. Guess I'll have to take apart my guns again T____T

Gamed with the steel hopup, had a few miss feeds and gun jammed up. At one point, 1 bb in hopup chamber and then 1 behind it, and another on the ramp lol. But when it works, it seems pretty decent.

You must have really bad luck with the hopup... I've got a few hundred rounds down range and so far it hasn't jammed or spit rounds- better than my beaten up pot metal chamber.

Installed 2 steel hop up chambers, working flawlessly so far, so jams, no misfeeds. FPS remained relatively the same

I gamed it once with the new steel bolt, aluminium nozzle (with new valves) and hop up chamber. It works great I guess???? I applied teflon to the hopup and barrel when installing the hop up chamber, but the FPS still fluctuated a lot (Could be the NPAS???). Had a few miss feeds when I gamed it, BB getting jammed up, but that could be because I was using .20s. Im a scrub though, so I could be doing things wrong loooool.

Chamber appears okay, gun seems to be cycling okay. If anything it's much crisper once the aluminum nozzle was installed. The tolerances are much tighter than the OEM chamber. In my case, I used to be able to get away with playing with a nozzle where the lugs were cracked. With this chamber, the gun failed to go into battery as soon as the lugs were deflected/cracked. My issue with the nozzle pushing the BB out of the barrel is now gone. FPS is more stable, I'm getting -/+ 15 with the first generation aluminum nozzle at 390 FPS, hopefully that will improve with RATech's new generation flute valve for the nozzle. Overall? Good buy, but they need to figure out their sizing variations. I got lucky, some didn't. |
