regardless of how many quotes you make, he is right. as for your argument, Hata isnt a mod, or a member of the secret forum police so its not his job to squash EVERY foolish question/non-tech-related post. there is no reason to be so confrontational, he just saw your question and re-directed you to a place where your question would most likely be answered better and faster. plus, everyone hates having to sift through posts like yours when trying to get a WE problem figured out. if you ever decide to come over to our side (the WE owners club) you will find that non-constructive posts like yours are frustrating and annoying for people who are looking for answers.
and you are right, you arent the only person on this thread interested in the clear lowered M4's... but you are one of the ones foolish enough to make a post declaring your interest. there are other places on ASC for getting your questions answered, and other places to be interested. to be more specific, come back here after you buy one and need technical support, or have any constructive feedback regarding mods, parts, DIY, etc. |

"WE owners club"? Rofl -- Elitist much? For your information, I've had a WE AWSS M16 for quite a while now. I don't find any posts linking to products (ie. sources to purchase aftermarket upgrades) "frustrating and annoying". There are lots of useful links to replacement parts, such as #66 which has been linked several times already. It saves me the trouble of having to find them myself. Metal bodies are no different. Plastic receivers aren't indestructible and will inevitably crack as the AWSS is a gas rifle. My #66 stock part has not yet snapped and I've been through thousands of BBs -- but my plastic receiver already has a growing crack near the fire selector, thus needing replacing. The receiver is just as much a part of the gun as the internals are. For instance, I have to overtighten the trigger box mounting screw as well as the screw attaching the handguard to keep my fire selector switch from wobbling -- which is only a temporary fix. |

I agree. I love this thread because during my research for the best GBBR bang for my buck I used this information (along with great advice from Tys and Wildcard) to help shape my understanding.
I would LOVE for someone to post (or PM me) a link to a retailer that has the RA-Tech Npas kit instock for a reasonable price after shipping. I found one that had the whole shebang including the trigger parts from RA and their upgraded hopup but they want 140 US shipped. There's no reason to shut someone down because they asked where to get something in the thread about that something. |

Sources to purchasing aftermarket parts...
TSC has lots. RA-Tech has lots. PMC has lots. Lots of international retailers have them. What part are you looking for? As for WE lowers, there are Canadian retailers that can bring you in a metal lower if you just ask in the wanted section of the classifieds. Not only that, there are retailers doing custom orders so why not jump in on the order? Quote:

Its been out of stock with all of the retailers Im familiar with. And the email I got from RA tech keeps bouncing back. I just don't want to order from Evike as knowing my luck I'll get shafted. In anycase if you know of a retailer thats trustworthy that has them instock that would be nice. |

RA-Tech NPAS system for SCAR usually go around $40-$50.
I believe this kit ( http://www.airsoftglobal.com/product...ducts_id=11964 ) is worth it for $104, you get all the upgrades right there and won't break down. Basically, the price you pay for Steel Part66 with Steel knocker assembly is about $40-$50 together, you get that upgraded hop up chamber and internals basically for free with the package. |

I have had no luck with TSC internals. For some reason they just don't seem to fit right.

I've bought TSC steel knocker and part 66 drop in kit, and it fits right into the SCAR perfectly. I haven't tried steel hammer, sear, and trigger yet. Other than that, if you got an M4, the TSC locking rod stuff is pretty neat, but haven't tried it out since I got a RA-Tech in my M4. |

I bought the firing pin and part 66 for my HK 416 and it doesn't fit. It fits for the Scar, but not the M4 series for some strange reason.

Reason is your top striker plate, you need to file the back end where the hammer strikes.
Stock pin is round, the TSC is square, file it further higher and a bit wider and you're good to go. |

I'm usually pretty blunt with stuff that isn't on topic...but perhaps this is a nicer way to frame it.
Q re. what parts fit/where to get them....seems on topic Q re. what parts suck or don't work....sounds great Q re. why one place sells this part for $20 while another place sells it for $150...get out of a tech thread and go surf the classifieds Q re. where to get a receiver...this is not an age restricted portion of the forum. If you don't know what the ramifications of that are, then go read the FAQ. Q. How do I do this/that....well if it hasn't already been answered elsewhere on ASC nor has it been answered in the thread already...then bring it on. Ideally, it'd be awesome to keep a thread as on topic as possible...have every post contain some bit of info related to the original topic...and "compress" the information as much as possible so there's as little for the next guy to plow through. "cause we all expect every person who posts in a thread to have read the whole thread. Back to on-topic: - the TSC rod looks good in concept...sucks balls in my opinion. The one I've seen has fallen appart (I have to machine a new part to get it working again) and failed very quickly. |

OK I need a hand.
I installed the TSC Hammer, spring, and Disconnect. The gun shoot but it jams/the trigger lock will not disengage, unless i push the trigger forward a little then pull it again and it shoots. Can anyone explain how to fix this?
