Was at an outdoor CQB game and had set myself up in some hay bales to guard the rear entrance to the building we were defending. Every time one of the OpFor came around back I waited till they were at 15 ' from the door (I was about 50 feet away at 90 degrees to the door) I'd pop them (double tap). They would look around saying "where the F@#$ did that come from". They were convinced it was someone inside the building shooting out at them. Got many kills that game.

That was a great game, I always enjoy a good Leroy charge
My personal favorite was at Op Broadsword. It was a CQB game in a old derelict hospital that apparently was now used for CF training. I ended up re-spawning with only one teammate (Lisa, if memory serves) and trying to stealthily move up on the enemy team through the first floor, as we assumed most were on the second. As we are clearing a room we get contact from the hall and my teammate is hit, leaving me alone. I waited for a few seconds and let the opfor think they had just picked off a straggler, then I pop out into the hall and give a good spray to keep their heads down. I was running an AKS74U with a lipo, so "a good spray" is not something to be trifled with. Naturally, they ducked and I ran down the hall a bit and ducked into a shower room on the other side of the hall. Now I'm alone, with no radio, and outnumbered. So I fold the stock on my AK, lay prone, and poke the muzzle and the top of my head around the corner of the door frame and start popping off single shots whenever I see one of them take a peek around the corner. They could not stick their heads out long enough to aim so I lasted quite a while. They eventually got me when backup came from the other direction and got me with a tornado grenade, its only after I died and started walking back to spawn that I realized I had just held half their team at bay for a good 10 minutes or so. But the best part is that I was close enough to hear them trying to coordinate a plan to take me down: Opfor 1: "where is he?" Opfor 2: "Two doors down on the right." Me: "I can hear you whispering!" Opfor 1: "...Fuck." A close second for my favorite moment is using a hat on a stick to draw fire in Op Drug Bust 3

repost from the other thread
Many moons ago, not too many moons after the dawn of the V2 gearbox; Red Vs Blue Weekend game, so no pressure to attack enemy right away Respawn was 5 mins inside a designated tent Both teams setup base, perimeter and patrols You could be attacked at anytime even at night, sentries were put up First day some contacts, sporadic firefights, returned to base, maintained perimeter First night, bedded down, complete darkness, two enemy recon ops passed within 15 meters of our base camp, we went silent and dark Day two, OUR recon group sighted new outposts set up on the first night, called in reinforcements, firefight ensued, we sent em packin' Day two, at dusk Red team raided our base camp, our sentry was having a nap, BB's whizzing every where, ops freaking out, ops calling contacts in every direction, ops calling out hits, we got our asses handed to us, ONLY one rule, if you didn't call your hits, you got a nice burst of auto, THAT was fun...

Playing a game at combat 307 in Gatineau, sat myself and 2 of my team mates on a ridge overlooking a flanking route, about 5 minutes goes by and on the path below me I see about 20 of the 30 enemy team members walk by. I opened up with my M60 and within half a second my team mates open up. I dont know how many I got personally but not one of the enemy team members made it out unscathed.
Another game at 307, I was walking up the main path providing a distraction and cover fire for my team mates flaking along hte hillside. I was randomly shooting at objects to keep heads down and people focusing on me. But every time I shot a burst at a bush or a log I would hear Hit and a flag pop up. During the same game, my squad came to a corner. We were unsure what was around it so we tossed a grenade. No hits were called, so I poked my head around the corner, and saw 2 guys cowering in a ditch taking cover from the grenade. I poped out with my M60 and give them a burst their reaction was priceless. |
