I had an urgent item Xpresspost to me (2 day delivery). The person dropped it off at the post office in Pembroke on Tuesday afternoon (Dec 14), which meant that it was going to be shipped out the next day to London. ETA was Dec 17, so I waited patiently the whole day for the package to arrive, but nothing came. I went to my nearest CP outlet and asked them if they had it. They said, "without the slip, I can't do anything," which it utter bullshit since they have tracked my packages with just my name. So I called her out on it and she tried to helped me, but no luck. I understand that London has had terrible weather, but the last terrible snow storm we had was on Wednesday Dec 15, which meant that the package was still in Pembroke where there was no bad weather.
All I can say is WTF CP? Always unreliable.

Package shipped out on the 15th xpress within the same city (Toronto). I expected it not to come in the next day as it usually does because of the high volume of parcels right now, but the package does not even come in after the 17th, it's two day arrival and it's within the SAME CITY! The kicker is the tracking status
15th 1230 Package accepted 1300 Package information recieved 16th 1600 Package arrive at Mississauga depot 2010 Package processed at Mississauga depot 2014 Package processed at Mississauga depot 17th 1153 Package Processed at Mississauga depot 1647 Package processed at fucking Mississauga depot... So the package took over 24 hours to arrive at the depot in ANOTHER city and then spend the better part of 2 days sitting somewhere. I call the help line to ask if I can go and pick it up, since it is urgent and I am told "We don't have the number to the depot". The manager was even worse and blatenly told me that it was my own fault for not getting PRIORITY SHIPPING!!! Oh no, woe is me for thinking that xpress is good enaught for inter-city mail.

CP has been really slow for all of December...
And yes, they deliver on the weekends during the holidays.

I'm just sick of lazy post people... Instead of bringing the package from the truck to the door and knocking on it, they just bring the "pick up later at post office sliP" put that in the mailbox and fuck off!

Just be nice to your postal workers when you do see them and build up a friendly repor.
Then they will always deliver your package and wait for you at the door instead of leaving the "pick-up the next day" slip. The smaller packages can normally be just left in your mail-box, but the larger boxes require your signature or handing it off to you in person.

I guess it's only CP on the east coast... cause every time I buy things that either land in Vancouver customs, or are shipped from like Alberta, it gets to me perfectly fine.
So far I've had CP lose 2 shipments from BB Bastard in the mail, 3rd one has been stuck as "being processed at postal facility" for over a week now.

The Deliverer takes the package, puts it in there truck, drives to your house and scans it 1 minute before he scans it again after he drops it off to your house. Now, why it is not in your mailbox is a mystery unless you have cleptomaniac neighbors. Just my thoughts I guess. Take it with a grain of salt. I don't proclaim to know the ins and outs of Canada Post but I do agree that they suck. |
