Hello all. I once heard some one on this forum talk about how there was a ton of outer barrel out there for the we m4, but all i could find was the Beta Project 16inch Outer Barrel for PTS MOE Mid Length Handguard (WE GBB) http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/beta-proj...rd-we-gbb.html
I am looking over the options and i want to convert my m4 into a cqb length gun. Any one have ideas on where to look. thanks |

It seems that some of my mags will engage the bolt catch properly, and others won't. This is for the g39. Any ideas on how to fix this? I see there is a RA-Tech replacement bolt catch available but I'm not sure if it would help in the matter or not..

Hey Turok, any news for the RA-Tech aluminum bolt? I broke the 3rd plastic bolt on my gun now...

I just got the gen 3 PDW open bolt kit installed and for some strange reason, the magazines don't go in. I converted the magazines for open bolt but the magazine itself doesn't go all the way in until I cock the bolt back. From there the bolt jams on the magazine. Any ideas why this is happening?

Long and short of it is that the mags are being held a little too high in the magwell.
Quick questions. 1. Are you using all PDW mags...all M4...or mix? Do all the mags have the second issue (bolt not going forward)...or just some of them. 2. Are these factory open bolt mags...or converted closed bolt mags? Quick thoughts. 1. On both my M4 and PDW (converted to open bolt), my mags do sort of the same thing where I either need to seat them very firmly/positively...or they go in easy with the bolt back. This is like real mags...they're hard to seat because the BB is pressing hard to the bottom of the nozzle. - try short loading them by 2-3 BBs to see if it's easier to seat the mag...it should be. If it's not better than it may be other things. 2. If converted mags, I'm going to assume you used the right conversion parts (i.e. follower/feedlip/gas seal...and M4 type for M4 mags...PDW type for PDW mags). Be very sure that the top of the feed lip part is flush with the top of the mag where it seats in...it should be. The gas seal should be just a hair above that...if it's standing proud a lot, you can try reseating things. 3. If you've got a mag in...rack the bolt all the way back and let go. Does the bolt chamber forward completely? Or is it hanging up short? Work though some of that...got to run |

Finally found out the problem, the feed lip was on a slight angle when i first installed it so I took a mallet to it until it was flush with the rest of the magazine

I guess that means they spent 8 months to fix issues of the metal nozzle?

Problem solved. Turns out the springs on some of the mags were weaker than others. Still fed fine, but there wasn't enough force in the spring to push the catch up all the way. Disassembled the problem mags, stretched the spring a bit, and now they all work just fine.
