I think I need to put my 2 cents.

Why not the case by case ?? Airsofters under 18 of age would have to be supported and 'trained' by veterans. I admit being a bit under 18 but still , I made my proof and have been accepted by veterans from my area.
So the main would be : have the O.K. by the local vets and then you will be able to play regularly.

The "sponser a new guy" idea is a good one. Sadly it doesn't hold up in court if things go wrong.

The verification before posting could be used in the same way; prove yourself, earn the right to post.
Until then, use the right to read.

I agree the idea about each and every person that joins this forum would have to be verificated by a veteran , not his age should be verificated but his maturity. what d'you think about that ?

As repeated constantly; use a system LIKE the age-verification. If a teenager bothers to come meet us with his parents at a game or meet, then we can allow the same teen to post. It's that simple.
If he cant post, he can read where the next meeting is and go.

Why is it that reading has become such a horrible chore? They can read EVERYTHING, they can INFORM themselves, they can EMAIL, they can GO to meets. What more do you want?
If they cant make SOME effort, why should we? Is this a Legal Right or a privilege?

You "proove" yourself by showing up to a meet and requesting posting privileges. Is that too hard?

im 14 and i airsoft every sunday, thersday and every other monday i have put over 3g into this sport i have the respect of most people i play with ( that dosent stop them from making fun of me tho) unfortunetly thers a rumor going aroun i pulled a loaded gun on a girl and shoved it in her face (not true )so i got banned from joc.

Sorry, 14 is way too young unless your parents are present at all times. There's Laws, there's insurance, but there are limits to common sense.

And since the point is for you to read, nothing would stop you from reading. It would certainly have stopped you from putting your foot in your mouth just now. Banishments dont usually happen just for kicks.

How much cash you spent is irrelevant.

I agree with you Greylock's bu only to some points. why would 14 be too young?? If the guy says he is admitted to play 3 times a week with the guys from his area , he must be respectful of the rules and not be a jackass.
If a guy shows lots of maturity , he should be allowed to play.

is he playing at a field? or is he playing with friends in the backyard games?

14, no waaaaay should he own guns.

There are always exceptions. Like if hes the son/brother of an airsofter, and then its basically the sponsor system.

Personally, I wouldn't want anybody playing that doesn't pay for their own guns / understand the value of money.

$3k? You're lucky to have parents that don't care where their money goes. On another note: Why would a person start a rumour without just cause?

You can't work (At least not for minimum wage), you're 14.

The fact he claims to do it does not make it legal. I suspect the story is not complete either.

There's a trend here; everyone bitching about reading until being checked-out to post IS underage. Leads me to believe underage people cant read or make the effort to get checked out.
Do you guys have something to hide or will you finally show some of the maturity you all claim (loudly) to have?
