Might be the first to nay say on this weapon.
The gun itself is good. Lots of metal, but not enough metal where there needs to be. Primarily the upper receiver. Being a TM clone, an old one at that, it still uses the dreaded 'Tabs' to secure the two halves together. I used to own a TM m16a2 that broke both tabs. I've tried many times to fix the receiver, but I just ended up ditching the plastic and buying a metal body, and continued to have problems (Dboys, lol.) Anyway, A freind of mine baught a JG S-system and ran into quite a few problems. 1) The upper receiver comes in two halves. in which the upper part of the rail system screws into. Being cheap plastic, the weight of the front rail (Which is pretty heavy) will either break, or strip the screws and plastic. and cause the front of the gun to wobble and droop a bit. 2) Tabs broke. there is currently 1 tab keeping his gun together. The RIS on the front is just too heavy. 3) Back to 1), since of the strange receiver/fake rail design. Replacing the body will lead up to having to replace the rail of the S-system since it cannot attach to a new body which actually has a real receiver rail. Lol, Apparently there is a part out there you can buy so you can actually use the thing but from my attempts its pretty hard to come by. All in all, I'm sure the gun would be great, just be careful of the issues this gun tends to have. Last edited by Strelok; March 26th, 2010 at 02:18.. |

if you want an S-system, I say fork out the money for a TM, otherwise, base it off of something else and buy a SIR rail kit...
I say nay to anything JG besides the gen 2 HK416, even then after some heavy hesitancy. |

Thats the gun I bought my brother. Great as is with a 6.04 tbb and a nice mech box ready for out door games. This is a great cansoft gun due to the awesome 'hammer testable' lower reciever. The upper is as Strelok said and leads to the question 'do you plan to alter this item?' and if so any cosmetics to the front end or upper reciever may be extra $$ for a working set up. BUT at a low price this is a good gun for a rental or as I did, a gift.

They are heavy and rattley as f*ck!

Uh?? Well its not as heavy as any full metal. And if you do a quick look over the screws (a really good idea with anything imported) you should have no rattle.
PS battery compartment is limiting if you don't want to mod it

I turned my JG M4 into a M4S with a CA SIR, and so far it's outlasted my CA M15a4. I've only just now after 2.5 years replaced the mechbox and motor cause it started having a firing problem, more then likely something electrical, but it saw at least 45-50,000 rnds where as my CA had lest then 10,000 when the mechbox seized solid. After the new mechbox and motor, I got rude with it - the JG that is

so what i gather is that the majority are good and reliable and with proper care it will be a solid gun, but once in a while there is a lemon...
