Question Typical Order of Purchases

Hey ASC, I'm a n00b and I'm just wondering in what order did you all start your loadouts??

Right Now I have my primary, sidearm (only reason I got it was because it was an insane local deal), vest, 1 hicap, 5 midcap, 10 lowcap, 1 battery, charger, and my mask.

Any and all input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Sicki

The following is all you will ever need to play at your avarage field.

Goggles
Boots
BDU's of some kind
Knee/Elbow pads
Hat/Bandanna/Helmet/Head Protection
Somewhere to put your mags Vest/lbv/rig/ect
Some way of carrying water with you
Kill rag of some kind if your field uses em
Your airsoft weapon of choice complete with Ammo, battery, mags

Thats it, anything beyond that is "gravy"

2 things that are IMO essential :

1. Radio
2. Gun case

A Camelbak is not necessary yet unless you plan on going to a larger scenario game or milsim.

Definitely good boots though, I use hiking boots but you may opt for "military boots" if you feel like it or have money to burn. (I'm planning on either getting my current ones resoled/repaired (they're nice boots...) or buying a whole new set of boots when they eventually wear down).

BDU's definitely; Surplus OD can be had for as little as $40 for a set in decent condition. I personally got my decent looking OD tunic for like $12 (because there was a previous paintball stain on it which has faded out with a few washes but you can tell where the sunflower oil or whatever they have in them hit).

You pretty much have all the required stuff by now and anything else is "nice to have" but not really nessecary.

- Deadrag (Red bandanna to signify you've been hit or any other piece of red cloth)
- Radio (I forget which one is in common use here but I think it may be the UHF radios, Morotolla GP something something which is an updated version of the SABERII is a good one from what people around here say)

Yep that's pretty much it, you're set for any scenario pretty much already and only need a few more things to be all prepared for a large milsim.

A radio is not essential but a really nice thing to have.

Boots (Whatever fits and gives good ankle protection, I'm wearing Timberlands with Goretex. I like Oakley's too, but the Tims are just too fucking comfortable ... and waterproof.)

Comfortable goggles (ESS for non-Paintball fiels, JT for PB)

Comforable gloves (I suggest Mechanix).

Now go shoot people.

Oh yeah lol, completely forgot about gloves. I have some pretty solid Dakota work gloves which are comfy as anything and don't get too hot and bb's don't hurt that much through em either, which is a nice perk .

For boots right now, I'm pretty sure I have some old hiking/work boots that would be ideal for the time being, but I'm definitely going to be looking into some nicer/more comfortable for long playing boots.

As far as goggles go, I wear prescription glasses (contacts are a no go for my eyes lol) and I haven't found a pair that fit just right, any advice? I'm fine using my mask for the time being.

Thanks guys! Keep it comin!

Sicki

There are several items that I cannot live with when I go to a game.
1) Guns, mags, batteries and bbs
2) Vest
3) Boots
4) Gloves
5) Mask of some sort
6) Elbow and knee pads - if I didn't have these I would have bruises everywhere
7) A hat - so I don't get shot in the back of the head

As for everything else, you can get it over the time you play. BDUs are pretty much mandatory, but you still game without one. I still bought one though when I started out.

Yeah, I found out the knee pads thing the hard way a couple weeks ago. I was playing at my local cqb with just a sidearm and I pulled a Tom Cruise-esque slide around a corner and destroyed my knee -_- and there was def no one there... You can imagine how badass I felt. lol

Just a word of advice. Take care of your knee's. Knee surgery hurts like a bitch.

Lol, that's what I used as well. Actually I still use my rollerblading elbow pads. I destroyed the knee pads so I had to get new ones.
