hopups (M4)
hey all, i've been considering upgrading my hopup system.
i initially thought of buying a on piece like the madbull ultimate. but what is the difference between a hopup like that and one like this? http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1271 please don't just respond with " one is a one piece and the other is a two" i'm looking for performance and bang for the buck difference. thanks |

One is one piece and the other is half of a two piece...
Depends on your rifle. If you have a one piece hopup in your rifle already (it always helps to post the make and model of your rifle in your question so guys aren't taking a wild a$$ guess at what you're trying to work with)...then you can pick and choose between any one-piece hopup unit. King Arms Enhanced, G&P are good...I've used plenty of them. The Madbull one is interesting...some guys have had fitting/airseal issues that they've been eventually able to resolve....I haven't fielded one myself, but the unit seems sound. If you have a split hopup unit design...i.e. TM, KWA, etc...then you've got to make a decision. Stay with the 2 piece design, or convert to a 1 piece. Converting to a 1 piece requires you to cut your body...you have to decide if you want to do that (I wouldn't bother). That Guarder unit is one of the only (might be the only) replacement unit for TM M4 rifles. Personally, I think their fit is sh*t....but if you've broken your hopup on a TM M4 it might be the only fix. KWA hopups are a bit different design...best to get a KWA one. JG and other cloners might do the 2 piece hopup as well...dunno, most of the cheap clones are lousy/crap. That probably won't make the decision for you...but didn't give much to go on. Tys |

sorry, i forfot to mention the brand. its a SRC M4A1. pretty sure its a 2 piece stock. should i stay with the two piece design, or is the 1 piece worth the extra work? or, is the stock hopup good enough, and just a better rubber is required?
no idea here, total newb! thanks all |

As a summary to lots of time, effort and money spent...just get out to as many games as you can and shoot your gun until it breaks...then worry about it then.

to avoid starting a new thread
What i want is more accuracy on my g&g m4. Thinking of using my Faux suppressor to hide a longer inner tight bore barrel. Questions 1. the mad bull ultimate hop up adjustment runs perpendicular to other ones, will it fit? 2. Element has a 45/55/65% hop up bucking what does that mean? 3. Will i see an improvement in the grouping of shots of i just replace the hop up bucking? my stock barrel is less than 300mm. (275mm i didn't measure it) 4. Is it worth adding the 10 inches to the barrel for better accuracy sacrificing maneuverability? (im only 5''6') |
