Installing replacement selector switch ?
So in a previous thread I stated how I was having difficulties with my selector switch on my CA mp5 a5
well I fixed it for the most part then my friend pushed it to hard and fucked it up the one part of the selector switch is completely stripped, it goes from semi to auto, but safe does not exist so I bought a new selector switch and now intend to install it but I have not opened my gun up yet and am scared to do so does anyone have some advice they could offer ? |

My first suggestion is to see onto youtube for MP5 disassembling, when I doubt I always search for a video showing how to.

+1 to videos
just try and remember where all the parts go, if you need to make notes of where the parts go on some paper or something.

+1 To vids here too.
Disassembling a gun isn't complicated by itself, it's more when it come to assemble it back. That's why you take some notes about it. For disassembling an Mp5 you may want to take a look here : http://www.mechbox.com/mp5 There's also a vid on how to reassemble it. But honestly, it's not that complicated, you just need to take your time, and remember carefully where each parts goes. |

If I remember correcly, you have to remove the mechbox from your gun, then you have to open the mechbox, remove the safety lever (the little lever where the selector plate push, that in turn triggers the lever inside that block the path of the trigger) and them slide the selector plate forward. The bottom section will come lose and you can remove the plate.
