Snipers in Canada.

Hey there everybody,

I'm going to start out by saying that I am a complete noob at airsoft, and in no way am I interested in the 'High end' guns that you find at 007 airsoft, redwolf, and places like that. I play with Wal-Mart grade guns. Because i'm on a budget. The fact that these guns are clear is absolutely no problem to me. I just want to shoot stuff.

Anyways, on with the question. I am on the lookout for a clear, fairly good quality sniper (with or without a scope), that i can get into or from Canada. I found one on evike.com, for 50 bucks (link: http://tinyurl.com/286r36a ) but i'm not sure if i can get it into Canada or not.

So if you know any places/websites that i can get a sniper from Canada, or from the US into Canada, or the one that I previously mentioned, I would be very thankful. And no 1159.99 Dragunovs from UNC.

Well one this for sure is that thats a true POS.

Cheap and quality dont go well together.
If you really want to play airsoft you better get ready to spend at least 400-600 dollars on a good sniper, TM, CA, Tanaka, just to name a few.

What you're looking at will break sooner than later, pretty much in 5 or so shots.

Being a sniper is VERY expensive, hence why i don't affiliate myself with it.
Get quality or go home.

If you get age verified there are a ton of Canadian retailers that sell lower end sniper rifles.

You are going to be hard pressed finding one for $50 but if you up your budget to say maybe $200 plus shipping you can find a cheap rifle.

Just remember you will get what you pay for

also keep in mind the one you linked to from evike is out of stock and is also not going to be $50 when you add shipping, customs/duty charges and all that jaz

so to spend $200+ shipping for one in country would be a better bet no?

Snipers in Canada? Maybe try the Canadian Forces, I'm sure they have snipers but I don't think they are allowed to sell personnel.

Read FAQ, get av'd, don't try importing yourself, airsoft is expensive in Canada, cheap ting no good and good ting no cheap.

If you're 18+, meet up with a verifier to get aged verified. After doing this, you will have access to the classified on this site. There you might find some cheap sniper rifle but they're not in the $50-100 range. More like $250+ and that's for a POS. Decent ones start around $350+ and good ones start around $700+. Good luck.

To actually be competitive, it costs far more to build a decent "sniper" setup with repeatable accuracy than a garden-variety AEG that can throw a lot more bb's.

For what it's worth, there's no "fairly good" quality sniper rifles that you will find in Canada for under $400. Period. Anything you find under that price range will be a fixer-upper that requires some knowledge and TLC and, as a noob, you do not want to touch; alternately, it will be a brand new POS that has no repeatable accuracy...

Indeed, being a sniper is expensive in both countries, if you want to perform well. I bought a TM VSR 10 back in the states for about 150$, then spent about twice that upgrading it, and then I sold it for a good 300$. And a good pointer, do NOT try to smuggle in airsoft guns

Okay, never start out sniping in airsoft, believe me it's nothing close to what you think it could possibly be.
Your going to want to start off with a regular automatic electric gun, the cheapest and generally well regarded as a decent cheap starter is the kraken AK, and those are usually around 200$
You COULD play airsoft with a cheap clearsoft POS from walmart, but for 80$ you can't fix it, can't upgrade it, you have to buy a new one if it breaks, and the performance is just so far below what you'll find on the field, it's WELL worth it to spend the 200$ on the kraken.
By all means you can try using a walmart gun on a field, we're just telling you there's a very high chance your not going to have fun
