That totally depends on how much you're willing to spend.

Figure on at least $350-$400. The quality of the AEG is directly proportional to cost.

The fact that you're a beginner is rather immaterial. A good AEG is a good AEG, and a cheap AEG is a cheap AEG.

Depends...If you have an unlimited budget, get a TM, something with a V3 gearbox, get it to a good gun doc, have him upgrade the shit and keep it just under 350fps to use it both indoors and out.

If you have a low budget, get a cyma or a jing gong and don't open or upgrade it until it breaks.

That was my plan haha. Too bad it was broken before it showed up at the store I bought it at Required a bit of filing due to a metal burr jamming the trigger.

JG S-System Enhanced. $190, shoots about 375fps with .25g's, will continue to work as long as you take care of it (I clean and lube the barrel after every match), and shoots reasonably accurately. I can hit a man-sized target up to about 125 ft.

I got my JG for a reasonable price (around $190 with shipping) so I can't complain. Even though I've obviously never gamed with it, it should last a while. But if you can't find one for cheap, just save up for a better gun.

The Aftermath Kraken (AK-47) also has a bunch of mixed reviews, but for the most part people say it's a decent starter.
