importing shotgun shells ?
just buyed a s34p at crappy tire yesterday and now i think about buying some shells the lowest price that i've seen in canada is 25$ for 6 but they are out of stock. In the states i founded 6 for 10$, it's a great deal.
Now i know that importing a mag with dummy rounds in it (like the g36 ones) is gonna be seized at customs but i d'ont see any info for mags that are directly shells . if anyone tried it before or can show me a deal that is in the same range in canada, it will be appreciated. thanks |

For that price you can afford to give it a shot. I was able to import mags for my Crosman C11, mind you they don't look like real mags.
Or you can post a wanted thread here, but I know a few guys around here stock those things, and ya, $25 for six shells seems to be about the right price. |

There's no problem with importing the shells, They don't look like real shells enough.

One thing I should warn you about though, is how much it'll cost in the end to buy from the US. I bought my mags, two pairs, for about $14 per pair. Total after shipping was about $36US, and I chose the cheapest, slowest shipping. When they arrived, I had a notice from UPS stating I had to pay just under $20 for brokerage fees. So where you may pay $35CDN shipped after waiting for a retailer to get some in, you could pay close to the same if you order from the US.

It cost the same to buy TM shells from Asia as it does for clone shells in Canada.

i didnt compared with the shipping, it would be the next step, and for the brokerage fees, from what i know with all my past years of internet buys, never choose ups if it cross borders, if its the only option, i dont buy from there, awsomely heavy brokerage fees and not faster than usps. i'll give it a shot if it's really advantageous, i dont grumble for 5$ difference

I actually choose US Post via ground, thought it'd be like our Canada Post system, until I got the notice that a UPS guy came around noon during the freaking work week, and would come again the next day and the day after. I ended up calling them to tell them I'd pick it up, that worked, but the $20 brokerage fee burned my ass, as did the $100 brokerage fee from UPS years ago when I ordered my leather flight jacket from FlightSuits in the US. If they had have said they would be shipping via UPS I would have looked elsewhere for the mags. BTW, it was Pyramid Air that I bought from.

I order alot from the States and Hong Kong for other hobbies. If you order from the US have everything shipped USPS (not UPS) and it will cost you $5 for brokerage and you will have to pay the PST and GST. If it comes UPS by mistake you can call UPS and tell them you will cleart it yourself. You will have to pick up the "yellow paper" take it to Canada Customs and pay the PST and GST. If it has a duty charge, like clothing you will have to pay duty as well. This will save you the horendous UPS brokerage fees. If you are in a hurry you can use the overnight UPS from the states, usually $40 or so and they cover the brokerage fees for that.
Sometime Fed Ex will whack you with charges a month after your order comes so save the original packing lists and paperwork and clear it at Canada customs yourself. If you order EMS from Hong Kong, no duty no GST no PST and I have no idea why. |

Is it really worth it? You can buy tons of shells, both clone and non clone, for pocket change. Literally, take the change out of your pocket, count it, I bet you could buy some shells with that. Why bother with all the trouble? One of the retailers on here sells them for like, 2 bucks.
