Question Airsoft M14 questions

Hello, i have been looking into a G&G m14 MAX for a few weeks, and from the reviews i have hear it bounces back and fourth and really is hard to make a desicion.

What i am looking for from an M14

Length (Must double as a scopeless sniper *.28/.30*)
Fps (Above 400 is a good average but under 500 *Obvious reasons*)
Realism (the more weight/realism the better)
Ubgradeables (Is optional, i think id stick with an 8.4v / 9.6v battery and most origional parts)
Cost (id like to keep it under $1000 XD)
Semi/Full auto
i am thinking about getting a black one then to paint/ add Camo paint/ghillie stuffs. (like a woodland camo or somthing)

My first thought would have been just to go with a G&G M14 MAX from IA, Buyairsoft, CAS, or somthing. But from the research i have done. Most of you, if not all say Go TM. i have not known TMs to be in canada (Unless you bring them up from the US manually)

i have heard so much stuff between saying the G&GM14 is so good, and others say its pretty bad. makes me wonder, so being new to AEGs i thought i should ask.

One thing i should add as i CANNOT find it ANYWHERE.
although the specs say "14mm Negative thread" can i atach a supressor/adapter for one? because any silencers/supressors i have seen are negative thread.

Also if i have the money would it be worth spending the extra money to get a
G&G M14 EBR MAX instead of a G&G M14MAX?

I have learned its better to ask and get some feed back rather than not ask and get somthing shitty

I havent a clue if this is somewhere else (not that i can find)

the difference between the EBR and the normal m14 is just the kit...... if its a max its the same internals..... get AVed and you can check classifieds for TM m14s and there are tons of tm m14s around....... hence the great nature of getting Age verified thus you can know alot more about whats in the country.....

If you are serious on getting a M14 get a TM, you may pay cheaper for a G&G or any other brand but in the end to make the damn thing function flawlessly you'll be spending a buttload of cash with that in mind you'll still be a head with a TM and some minor upgrades.

I dont know much about the G&G series of M14s but I will offer what little I know.

-They use a different style of magazine from their TM counter parts, or at least they did last time I checked.

- I'm not sure you can remove the flash hider on the M14 EBR without removing the whole front sight entirely.

- Its easier to house a larger battery in the stock the standard m14, battery housing is fairly tight on EBRs.

-Older G&G M14s like their Gen 1 were burning pieces of semi unreliable feces but new models have been improved but in the end my vote still sides with TM.

A lot of people say go TM because TM makes a great M14 and they are available in Canada through this websites buy and sell section and private retailers if you are Age Verified.

the problem with G&G M14s, one there expensive, and two they have alot of propritary parts, including the mags. so if something breaks in it, it can be a pain in the ass to find a replacement part, and they are near impossible to upgrade.

TM M14s are much more upgradeable, easyer to find mags for, are just plain better quality, and much more realistic. They can cost near the same as the G&Gs, but generally on the cheaper side if they are stock.

EBRs are just a kit, but with a standard M14 the weight of a battery in the stock ballances out the weight of the barrel. so witout a stock in the battery EBRs are very front heavy. For practical reasons, as well as finacial stick with a standard M14.

i have a g&g m14 max and i have no complaints. i don't know a lot about other brands and i havent had anything go wrong on mine, ive had it a few month and have shot around 1-2000 shots with it. i had it ordered through a local distributor but if u go to buyairsoft.ca they carry them and unless u buy the EBR it will come to less than $800 no scope or bi pod. i know someone who bought the EBR and though its nice having the rails on it and adjustable stock the extra money wasnt worth it for me. i believe the internals are the same just cosmetically different. i hope this has helped ur decision.

When your G&G is working it's fine. Just pray it doesn't break down as you'll have a very hard time finding parts that is compatible with your gun. This is one of the main reason why people get TM.

Seriously?

Research dude, you'd find that there is only one GBBR M14 which is a WE, and you're looking to spend a good 300+ just to replace all of the potentially faulty parts on it. This is the newbie tank, sure. But its not an excuse to be lazy.

XD WEtech is the only one I am aware of that makes a GBB M14. and for WW2 matches the M14 did not exist on frontlines, your looking more the the M1 Grand or M1 Carbine. Kar98, Kar98K, Springfield. are more in that era. the M14 was meant for the use in Vietnam but was to big and heavy for the jungle, thus the M16. the M14 was still a great sniper from good ranges.

The WE M14 is also too big and heavy for airsoft.

Well yes and no, if your out side mabie not so much but indoors or a urban area not so much.

i guess its personal preference right? like i am after an M14 because i like that gun, also because it will double as a good sniper, someone else might be like well the m14 is ok but i want somthing compact and light weight there for mabie they would go for an M416 CQB-R or somthing.
