Leaky tornado fill valve

I'm posting this because I never found a solution when I did a search. I finally just took it apart and found the problem then fixed it.

This was happening to both my tonado grenades.

So what was happening, I would add my grenade oil, I'm not stingey, fill the gas chamber, then it would all dump right back out the fill valve.

So I kept the shuttle from turning and pulled the fill valve. I noticed two things. 1) the fill valve's spring housing was unthreading. Causing less pressure on the valve seat due to less spring compression. 2) the spring itself was just getting worn out. Also allowing for the gas to dump by, also due to less pressure on the valve seat.

So my solution to both, I took the spring and stretched it out a little. And obviously threaded it back together tight. No more fill valve leak. And it was a easy fix.

Hopefully this helps if somebody else has this problem and does a search they find the answer right away.

I just bought a GasCan and it leaks at the fill valve and also at the top where it screws off. I will try a silicone bath, but I don't have a lot of faith.
