Soviet Late War Ruski, Summer '44

Summer, Late Great Patriotic War (a bit portly for a Soviet conscript I know)

Getting ready for Red Orchestra 2? Great loadout. I am jealous.

EDIT: Is that canvas bag russian? I have one in my closet and I've been using it for my allied impression, if it's Russian I shouldn't be!

Most defnitely not a US M1 ammunition bag, a Soviet gas mask satchel repro from Trident Military (where all the kit is from).

Easy enough mistake, they are similar in size and cut (although the soviet satchel is far simpler construction with a single button holding the flap down rather than the metal clasp on the M1)

M1 satchel:

I wouldn't worry too much bud, there were many variations but the one I had was the most common!
