Has anyone made the NS2 KWA pistols full auto?
I was looking to do this to my KWA KP45, and saw videos on other guns, but not mine. I'm pretty sure I know what to sand down. Two questions though: Can I use something just to hold down the disconnector so the mod is not permanent, or will the bar being down affect the function of the gun? Does making it full auto have draw backs or decrease the reliability? Thanks.

Using your pistol just once decreases it's overall service life by just a tiny amount. Using it in full auto magazine dumps will rapidly decrease its life, by seriously increasing stress on the internal parts for longer periods of time than they would normally be stressed. So obviously blasting away on full auto is going to lower the life of your pistol. Good news is that KWA sells all the parts for their pistols on their website and you can order replacements for anything that breaks. You will also not have a choice between semi and auto if you modify the gun, it will always be full auto until you replace the part.

Can't really help on this but I'll tell you this:
Any stress added on anything will undoubtfully decrease reliability. Firing in Full Auto is going to add stress. That being said, I don't know how the KP45 is constructed, I own a M93RII which is already single/3burst/full auto capable. Just to tell, while I LOVE the gun, I'm always digging in the slide to adjust stuff, replace the nozzle and return springs, clean clean clean clean clean a lot. I'm not sure but I think that if the pistol is meant for single shot only, I'd stick to that. Just My 2ยข Edit: Damn Disco you beat be by a few seconds :P About the parts thing: True, but they're not always in stock, some seems quite hard to get. I'm not sure if the gas chamber block for mine is available anywhere... |

Ok. Do you guys have an opinion on instead of sanding the disconnect, just lowering it with a paper clip or something?

If you CAN mod it and it works for you then it's all gravy. Even full auto pistols (G18, 93RII) go through a lot of parts change/general maintenance. It's your call. |

Im agreeing with Coresair, its gonna cost you a lot more time and money to keep it running.
And like he said, a lot of us play for the realiSIM, making your gear do something it normally cant do (or in a real world variant, making it do something it cant do without easy modifications) takes part of that aspect out of it. But hey, its your gear regardless. All anyone else can do is give you ideas, if you mod it and dont like it, or it breaks, lesson learned right?

Yeah I understand people want realism, but I don't care as much personally. I think I'll try weighing it down because at least that won't be permanent, and I can take it out if need be.

Ok my idea is to drill a hole through the frame and disconnect and stick a pin through it. This keeps the hammer from falling but would be a good way of switching from auto to semi by taking the pin out. However, if the hammer can't fall now, I don't know if it will when I put it back together, and it won't function.

Before you start you should look at some exploded view diagrams of the USP. And then realize its even more complicated than it looks. I took mine apart to change the grip and almost couldnt get it back together. VERY complicated. It may just be that I am used to simpler guns like 1911s, but the USP has a bunch of pins and moving parts that must be dissasembled and reassembled in an exact order. Then some must move as well. If you start changing tolerances or adding pins I can see something either binding where it shouldnt or not applying enough pressure to activate. But hey, its your gun, you do what you want with it.

Maybe I should just try this on some cheapo clone for fun, I'm starting to think it's a bad idea for my KWA.

At that point, if you're to buy a clone to do this mod and risk it, you might as well want ditch the money on a m93R or G18 no?

Yeah I'd like to, but my parents are rather fed up with the money I spend on airsoft.
